Privacy notice

Findmydoctor uses information you provide to operate the directory and its account, appointment and profile-claim features.

Information used

Public profiles contain professional information from published sources and approved account updates. Signing in stores your account name, email and account access status. Appointment requests store the patient details, contact information and reason you submit. Saved profiles are associated with your account.

Profile claim proof

Professional proof files and claim messages are stored privately in the application database. They can be accessed by the submitting account and super admins for reviewing claims. They are not displayed on public profiles.

Access and service providers

The clinic account linked to a doctor and the clinic staff it authorizes can view that doctor’s appointment requests. Staff access is restricted to appointment management and can be revoked. Super admins can manage directory operations and access requests. Google processes Google sign-in. The site uses session cookies needed for authentication.

Optional notifications

Notifications are disabled by default. While disabled, no new notifications are created or sent; existing history and preferences are retained. When enabled, the private inbox records appointment and profile updates. External email, SMS and WhatsApp notifications require a verified destination, your channel consent and an enabled delivery provider. You can change preferences in Notifications when the feature is enabled. Enabled providers receive the destination and the message needed for delivery; in-app access does not require external consent.

Public photos and reviews

Approved profile photos, clinic gallery images and moderated appointment-linked reviews are public. Images are re-encoded to remove metadata. Review text is displayed without the patient’s account name; do not include private medical or contact details. Pending images and submitted reviews are restricted to the submitting account and admins. Review reports and moderation decisions are private.

Location and analytics

Nearby search asks permission before using your location. Coordinates are sent to the application to calculate approximate distances, are not stored by this feature, and can be cleared. A language cookie remembers your English or Hindi preference. Profile analytics count listing impressions, profile views, call clicks and submitted booking requests. Daily pseudonymous deduplication keys are derived from request information, without storing raw IP addresses or browser identifiers in analytics records. Analytics expire after 90 days. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control suppress browser interaction tracking.

Operational history

Restricted audit records retain who made administrative or profile changes and when, with selected field differences. Claim proof contents and appointment medical reasons are excluded from that history.

Corrections and removal

You can remove saved profiles and cancel open appointment requests in your account. For account deletion, proof removal, professional profile corrections or other data requests, contact the directory team. Except for time-limited analytics and security records, records are retained until removed by the operator; general automated retention deletion is not implemented.
